What this means for your team

Make the next step easier.

  • Staff leave requests and reviewed decisions
  • Accrued balances and dated policy settings
  • Reviewed carry, expiry and correction history
  • Supported gross holiday-pay calculations with evidence

A working-day example

A holiday request without the message trail

A team member requests three days away. Their reviewer checks the dates and available entitlement before responding.

  1. 01

The team member submits the dates and request details.

  2. 02

An authorised reviewer checks the request against the relevant policy and work pattern.

  3. 03

The decision is recorded and the person can see the outcome.

  4. 04

Approved leave stays visible in planning and the balance history.

Illustrative workflow using synthetic examples.

Keep the request and decision together

People should be able to see what they asked for and what happened next.

  • Own requests and request history
  • Scoped team review
  • Clear approved, pending and cancelled states

Explain the balance

Show accrued entitlement with the policy and evidence behind reviewed changes.

  • Effective work patterns and accrual settings
  • Protected carry and expiry history
  • Corrections with retained source records

Support the payroll conversation

Where supported, calculate reviewed gross holiday pay and hand the result to the payroll process.

  • Explicit remuneration evidence
  • Reviewed calculation revisions
  • Separate Finance handoff

Useful answers

A closer look.

Can everyone approve holidays?

No. Requests and balances are shown according to the person's access. Reviewing another person's leave requires the relevant permission and scope.

Is the displayed balance my full future allowance?

The staff view shows accrued entitlement. The business's approved policy, work pattern and dated records determine the balance.

Does holiday pay include final take-home pay?

Supported holiday-pay calculations are gross calculations. Your accountant or payroll software handles statutory deductions and final net payroll.
